The Training Course “Youth exchanges for beginners” that took place from 19th to 27th of October, 2015 in Latvia, organized by Viesite municipality. It has involved a huge number of participants from the following countries:  Latvia, Lithuania, United Kingdom, Romania, Italy, Estonia, Poland and Portugal.
The main aim of this training course was to promote youth exchanges as tool for creating more opportunities for youth with fewer opportunities, to gain needed social competencies.

In the day-to-day schedule, we analyzed all the steps needed to organize youth exchanges.
From the very beginning, all the trainers started to explain in a clear way what the Erasmus+ project is.

They showed up to us some examples of youth exchanges they organized in the past and explaining why they were successful, they familiarized us also to the introduction of badges, with the platform badgecraft.eu, that is to say to be able to check step by step which competencies we were achieving or improving during the daily activities of the TC.

We analyzed the form of the application, section-by-section how should be filled up and how is important the collaborations between the partners because of the different realities they come from. Further explanations have been made as how to find trustable partners, developing the idea of a project, and so on. Which we really appreciated was the practical explanations about all the hidden phases/steps behind the creation of youth exchange, like the timing of: writing, budgeting, apply, waiting the response, starting to organize all the stuff in the real word and not only in the paper, organizing and making the preliminary visits, the youth exchange, ending with the dissemination process.

During the training course 10 new project ideas were developed.
